When really shitty things happen to people... it's impossible for me to think of anything I could possibly say that might not be stupid. I don't think there is ever a more awful, awkward time... and I can't help but think how funny it is, that universally as humans, when faced with such horror, pain and anguish, we revert to the self, and how it makes us feel embarassed or what have you. How narcissistic is that?

In other news, life is filled with small things that are not always worthy of mention.
