there are too many gargantuan spiders that make random appearances in my appartment. they scare me and husband kills them with baseball bats. i'm afraid they'll eat the cat.

the trip here was so exhausting, everything was a struggle... we drove for 14 hours on some days and collapsed into grimey little sad sacks capable of nothing but sleeping and rotting. getting set up here hasn't been any kinder to us, and trying to squeeze in some fun activities only makes it more aparent that there's plenty of shit left to do. plus we've all got bad colds.i've been digging through the giant pile of bags and boxes of shit in our bedroom closet, a nice little gift left to me by myself and my pack rat, never throw anything away nature, when i left four years ago. it's like a crazy time capsule: lots of (revolting) silly dated getups, shoes, old makeup and little things i kept drugs in. it's also a testament to my various obsessions (lambchops play along, mushroom collectibles and plastic hair barrettes among others). i did find a pair of old grey dickies that fit pretty good and will look quite stylish with fat rolls and a little trim of the frayed cutoff ends, and some wacky packages spoof sticker trading card dealies. i suppose it's hardly worth the effort though since there are 10 bloated garbage bags and a big box full of shoes waiting to be hauled off to the nearest salvation army dropoff station... but then, any amount of librated closet space is worth the effort at this point.

this is my 7 week old kitten lucky. they tell us she's a girl but she hasn't had her first checkup at the vet's yet and husband suspects we may have gonads on our hands sometime soon. she's really cuddly and very mellow and sweet, purring at the drop of a hat and all that good stuff. i love her.

finally we're juiced up with cable, internet and television, to numb our minds and pacify our nerdiness for a while. i have a new computer that was given to me by my insanely nice mommy who thought it would be a nice belated birthday gift since our old computer was such a rusted out crap box. it's an hp pavillion 511 with windows xp on it, which is scary and hard to get used to but very pretty. i also have a larger monitor that has appropriate colors on it so i can see a bunch of stuff i designed on the dark ass burnt out monitor looking like shit already! it's cool and the space bar isn't even busted yet! i have lots of updating and redesigns to do and ebay stuff to post so i will be a busy little nerd! i also got a little kitten since we're not in a NO PETS dwelling anymore. she's really pretty and sweet. pictures will follow shortly. more news soon. i promise.
